Registration
Each Gala attendee will be given a bid number and catalog addendum with numbered auction items to aid bidding during the auction.

Absentee Bids
If you cannot attend or would like to place a private bid, you may bid as an absentee bidder. Absentee bids are written instructions directing the Gala Committee to bid on one or more lots, up to a maximum dollar amount decided by the customer. One form per lot is required. See absentee form on website for more information. The Museum staff will attempt to execute absentee bid at the lowest possible price taking into account the minimum bid and other bids. There is no charge for this service. In the event identical bids are placed by two or more parties, the first bid received will take preference. Absentee forms are available at HMA or on the website. This service is offered as a convenience. The Museum is not responsible for errors or failures to execute bids.

Live Auction
Hold up bid number so that the spotter and Auctioneer can see who is bidding.
The last highest bid wins the item. The Auctioneer will say "sold to…" and call the winning number.

Silent Auction
All items have a corresponding white bid sheet. Use your bid number, not your name, to bid on an item. The highest bid at closing wins. The Featured Artist Gallery will close at 9:45 p.m. The other Silent Auction Galleries will close at 10:15 p.m. Please note the bidding increments as it is imperative these are followed.

The Art Committee agrees to make its best effort to deliver a trip as sold. Cancellations due to a decision of the Buyer are not the responsibility of the Museum and no refund will be made to the Buyer. Cancellation policies of each donor are binding.
